Position Paper on the EU NIS2 Directive

Globalisation, digitalisation and automation are driving the need to take a comprehensive view of supply chains, as they are vulnerable to cyber events and various global supply risks. A holistic strategy for risk mitigation and resilience is therefore crucial to avoiding disruptions. The development of these strategies requires innovations in risk assessment and modelling to determine the necessary resilience and create value. Responses to such challenges include international standards and regulatory measures such as the EU NIS2 Directive, which link cyber and supply chain security.

Position Paper "Strategic Resilience"

The Competence Centre for Security Policy of the CRC (ZRK) is engaged in intensive examination of the concept of Strategic Resilience. This position paper sets out why resilience should be regarded as a strategic management instrument for organisations and how comprehensive resilience - beyond the organisational level - can be achieved. The approach combines existing management methods with a holistic understanding of resilience and opens up new perspectives for the state, business and society.
