Smart Economy and Cyber Economy, the digitalisation of production, the awareness and emergence of risks in supply chain networks and/or in supply chain management have become more acute in recent years. Research, development and standardisation for risk analysis in global interacting supply chain networks play a significant role. The discussion on robustness in supply chain networks with regard to innovative smart economy concepts is an ongoing discourse, particularly concerning how future supply chain network infrastructures should be structured, centralised or decentralised. This has a direct influence on the development and deployment of future solution options for cyber and smart economy solutions.
The objective is to:
- Discuss and develop new innovative frameworks and concepts of cyber and smart economy with regard to smart solutions, smart logistics, smart cities and smart grids concepts, models, methods and tools.
- Discuss and develop a robust interaction mechanism for managing increasingly complex and interdependent supply chain networks with regard to global, supranational, regional and local supply relevance and density under elastic conditions;
- Discuss, predict and anticipate potential disruptions to centralised and decentralised supply chain networks with regard to potential events, in order to develop appropriate avoidance and mitigation strategies as well as contingency plans for the public and private sectors based on accumulated knowledge and empirical best practices.
