Globalization, digitalization and automation are driving the need to look at supply chains comprehensively as they are vulnerable to cyber events and various global supply risks. A holistic strategy for risk mitigation and resilience is therefore crucial to avoid disruption. The development of these strategies requires innovations in risk assessment and modeling in order to determine the necessary resilience and create value. Responses to such challenges include international standards and regulatory measures such as the EU NIS2 Directive, which combine cyber and supply chain security.
