VALUES
Purpose
- The CRC aims to promote the subject area of risk, security and crisis management from an interdisciplinary perspective for science, business, education and research.
- Promoting risk, security and crisis management (national & international) and influencing the consistent application of the recognized state of the art in science and technology;
- Promotion of interdisciplinary research and development in the field of risk, security and crisis management;
- Promotion of professional training and further education in the sense of the “state of the art” in the above-mentioned subject area;
- Promotion and support of broad public relations work to communicate knowledge and experience of risk, security and crisis management (national & international);
- Promotion of content-related, scientific and application-related cooperation between the Center for Risk and Crisis Management and other Austrian and international universities, colleges and non-university institutions, organizations and companies;
- Promotion or initiation of a security policy “think tank” that deals with the complexity and interaction between societal security – economic security – environmental security – political security – public security and cyber security;
- Promotion and initiation of security policy advice
- Promotion and initiation of a “Risk and Safety CLUSTER” for business and science in Austria and the European Union for the development of corresponding consumer and investment goods that correspond to the tasks of this association in the narrower and broader sense.
Vision

The CRC is the leading quality-assured international Risk and crisis management-Competence center for Education and Research on university-adequate and non-university level and excellence in consulting & operations for innovative and evidence-based organizationaldevelopment, management and control.

The CRC works under the principles of a Code of Conduct, which is based on the EU Charter of Human Rights and other ethical principles recognized under international law.
Mission
- The CRC acts at least as a cooperation platform for national and international universities, universities of applied sciences and non-university institutions, organizations and companies and can be designed and used by them to deal with the complexity of the subject area as a whole.
- The CRC will bring together managers and specialists/experts working in this field, as well as national and international organizations (profit and non-profit organizations), to work together with the association’s members to
- generate knowledge through research and development,
- impart knowledge through education (basic, advanced and further training),
- make knowledge applicable and use it through operational application (Operation & Consulting).
- The CRC strives to initiate, organize, develop, operate and represent this knowledge in the subject areas in question in order to support innovative and evidence-based strategic organizational development, management and control, as well as product development for consumer and capital goods.
RELEVANCE
We work only on topics which are highly relevant for the economy and where action is needed to be fit and proper to meet future requirements.
FIT FOR FUTURE
We discuss what is important now and in the future. The past is analysed only, where this is necessary, but our focus is on acutal developments and future trends.
Non-Profit
The activities of the CRC are not aiming for economic benefit. The focus is to contribute to develope a secure and save environment for companies and for the society. As all activities are financed by member fees and project orders, the independance is guaranteed.
